Overcast B2B Commerce - Classic Edition - Overview
This tutorial describes how to get started quickly with the Overcast SAP-integrated B2B Commerce solution offering for Salesforce.
Overcast B2B provides integrated B2B components that fully integrate SAP pricing, availability, order and fulfillment that allows you to connect and integrate Salesforce B2B Commerce with SAP all from within Salesforce with a zero SAP footprint.
Prerequisites
Overcast Prereqs:
- Please follow through the Overcast Get Started Step 1 - Overcast Installation and Component Configuration
Step 1.1 Install and Configure Overcast App
- Install the Overcast Realtime Integration package v1.1

Select Install for Admins Only and click Install.
- Please follow through the Step 1.2 Set up a Secure Connection using the Secure Agent
- Important additional steps after Secure Agent ist installed!
Secure Agent connections to SAP require SAP .NET libraries which are part of the application "SAP Connector for Microsoft .NET". This can be downloaded here.

- Pick the right archive that corresponds with your Windows installation (64 vs. 32 bit). If you are unsure which one to pick, the highlighted one (SAP Connector for Microsoft .NET 3.0.23.0 for Windows 64bit) will most likely be the correct archive.
- Once you downloaded and extracted the archive you should see the following content.

- Open the Windows Installer Package "NCo3023_Net40_x64" and install the application. Windows may tell you that this app is unrecognized. If this is the case, select "More info" and then click "Run anyway".
- Once installed, open the Secure Agent client and select the path to the SAP .NET Connector.
If you chose the default option during the installation, this will be in your C:Program FilesSAPSAP_DotNetConnector3_Net40_x64
- Click Save and restart the Windows service for Secure Agent
- In step 1.3 Create two Connection Strings in the Overcast app.
- The first Connection String is for your backend connection to SAP. Unless you want to connect to your own SAP ECC system, please make use of the following Connection String details to connect to our Vigience Demo SAP system:
Go to Connection Strings and click New.

Next enter the following Connection String details (in case you use our SAP Demo system):

Once you saved the Connection String you need to link it to your Secure Agent. Click New Secure Agent Link.
Next select your Secure Agent and click Save.
Finally, you can test your Connection String's connectivty to SAP through your Secure Agent installation.

Make sure that your Secure Agent is online, can be reached, and is acessible. If you see two green checkmarks then your connectivity to SAP is set up successfully.
- The second Connection String is for Salesforce.
Go to Connection Strings and click New.
Next enter the following Connection String details.
Connection String Name: SalesforceJob
Connection Type: Salesforce Job
Connection String: User={your Salesforce user}
Sensitive Part: Password={your password}{your Secure Security Token}
For the Sensitive Part make sure that you provide your password and your security token in one string without any spaces in between them. You can retrieve your security token by going to your Settings | Reset My Security Token.
Upon saving your Connection String record, make sure you test its connectivity and get a green status checkmark.
