Overcast App Upgrades


The Overcast development team is continually working to provide bug fixes and new features for the ever-growing business needs of our customers, thus, we frequently release new versions of the Overcast for Salesforce app.

An Overcast for Salesforce app release generally occurs twice a month. Releases are made public selectively via the AppExchange. Releases that are not uploaded to the AppExchange can be installed by request.

Upgrade Process

The recommended steps to take for any Overcast App upgrade require you to:

  1. Prepare a sandbox or use an existing one.
  2. Confirm the correct operation of select Overcast scenarios and end-user actions in the sandbox.
  3. Upgrade the Overcast App in the sandbox.
  4. Re-confirm the scenarios and end-user actions from (2).
  5. Arrange a maintenance window for the Salesforce production org. 
  6. Confirm the correct operation of select Overcast scenarios and end-user actions in production.
  7. Upgrade the Overcast App in the production org.
  8. Re-confirm the scenarios and end-user actions from (6).
