Understanding Overcast log prefixes


In the Detailed Log, there are prefixes to some of the messages that may appear. Understanding those prefixes can help you better assess the error and give you more detail about the issue.

For example, you may see an error like the one indicated below with the prefix "OC-SFA-210". Each group of characters in the prefix has a different meaning.

OC-SFA-210 There was no External Data Source found that uses the type "Salesforce Connect: Custom—overcast.EnterpriseGateway". Create the External Data Source and re-activate. (j1mhafrR)

The first set of 2 characters indicates the Service where this error occurred.

Codes Description
001 - 199 Reserved for standard/common error codes
200 - 999 Reserved for application specific error codes

 

At the end of the message is a unique message ID (j1mhafrR). This allows for identifying the exact message. Errors can be raised multiple times.
