Backend System Authentication


After site-connectivity has been established, Overcast will be able to send requests to the whitelisted backends.

All credentials used by Overcast are stored in the Connection Strings object in your Salesforce org, not in Overcast servers.

Overcast supports username and password authentication for all backend systems.

Overcast supports additional authentication methods for the following systems:

SAP

 

OData

 

Authentication configurations

In addition to how authentication can be performed, the following user credential mapping configurations are available for all backends:

 

The technical/shared user authentication is the default authentication method. When you create a connection string, you are creating a technical/shared user connection string.
